1. 1978

   MBBS, Bangalore Medical College

   Dr Satish qualifies in medicine at Bangalore Medical College, Bangalore University, after a course begun in 1971. The degree is awarded on 27 April 1978.

2. 1983

   MD in Dermatology and Venereology at AIIMS, New Delhi

   Three years of postgraduate resident training at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, under Dr L K Bhutani, Dr J S Pasricha and Dr R K Pandhi. His MD thesis studies the therapeutic and immunological aspects of vitiligo.

3. 1984–1992

   Assistant Professor of Dermatology, M S Ramaiah Medical College

   Nine years teaching undergraduate dermatology in Bengaluru.

4. 1984

   MBBS, Bangalore Medical College

   Dr Lakshmi qualifies in medicine at Bangalore Medical College.

5. 1984

   Gold Medal in ENT, Bangalore Medical College

   Awarded for the highest marks in the ENT examination of the final year MBBS.

6. 1988–1990

   Secretary and Treasurer, IADVL Karnataka–Tamilnadu State Branch

   Dr Satish's first office-bearer post in the Indian Association of Dermatologists, Venereologists and Leprologists.

7. 1989

   MS in ENT, Bangalore Medical College

   Dr Lakshmi takes her master's degree in otorhinolaryngology at Bangalore Medical College.

8. since 1992

   The clinic opens in Jayanagar

   Dr Satish begins practice as Senior Consultant Dermatologist at the Skin, Cosmetic & ENT Care Centre in 4th T Block, Jayanagar, where he has practised ever since.

9. 1992

   Founder, Bangalore Dermatological Society

   Dr Satish founds the society and goes on to edit its newsletter from 1992 to 2002.

10. since 1992

    Director and Senior Consultant ENT Surgeon at the clinic

    Dr Lakshmi leads ENT surgery and allergy care at the Skin, Cosmetic & ENT Care Centre and is the clinic's Director.

11. 1993

    President, IADVL Karnataka–Tamilnadu State Branch

    In the same year Dr Satish is Organising Secretary of the IADVL–KT State conference in Bangalore, attended by 250 delegates, and editor of its souvenir and IADVL history booklet.

12. 1994–1996

    Member, Editorial Advisory Committee, IJDVL

    Dr Satish joins the editorial advisory committee of the Indian Journal of Dermatology, Venereology & Leprology, and has reviewed for the journal for over ten years.

13. 1994

    DLO of the Royal College of Surgeons, London

    Dr Lakshmi takes the Diploma in Laryngology and Otology in the United Kingdom.

14. 1994–1996

    Faculty, M S Ramaiah Medical College

    Dr Lakshmi teaches ENT in Bengaluru.

15. 1996

    Organising Secretary, 1st National Conference of the ADSI

    Dr Satish organises the first national conference of the Association of Dermatological Surgeons of India, held in Bangalore in October 1996. He is also a Central Scientific Committee member of the 24th National Conference of IADVL at Ahmedabad that year.

16. 1996–1998

    ODTS Trainee, Sunderland Royal Hospital, United Kingdom

    Dr Lakshmi trains in the United Kingdom under the Overseas Doctors Training Scheme.

17. 2000

    National Vice-President, IADVL

    Dr Satish is elected National Vice-President of the Indian Association of Dermatologists, Venereologists and Leprologists.

18. 2000

    Chairperson, Scientific Committee, Dermavision 2000

    Chairs the scientific committee of the National Conference of IADVL held in Bangalore.

19. 2001–2012

    Honorary ENT Consultant, Indira Gandhi Institute of Child Health

    Eleven years of honorary paediatric ENT work in Bengaluru.

20. 2001–2007

    Honorary ENT Consultant, NIMHANS

    Six years as honorary ENT consultant at the National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences, Bengaluru.

21. 2002–2022

    Senior Consultant and Chief of Dermatology, Sagar Hospitals

    Twenty years leading dermatology at Sagar Hospitals, Jayanagar, Bengaluru.

22. 2003–2004

    President, Indian Society for Paediatric Dermatology

    Dr Satish had been the society's Vice President in 1996 and chairs the organising committee of its national conference in 2005.

23. 2005–2007

    Hon. President, Association of Otolaryngologists of India, Bangalore Branch

    Dr Lakshmi leads the Bangalore branch of the AOI, having served as its Hon. Treasurer from 2002 to 2005.

24. 2007–2009

    President, Bangalore Dermatological Society

    Dr Satish leads the society he founded fifteen years earlier.

25. 2009

    Chairperson, Scientific Committee, Dermacon 2009

    Chairs the scientific committee of the National Conference of IADVL in Bangalore, where he also speaks on topical therapy in psoriasis.

26. 2011

    Co-Chair and Speaker, World Congress of Dermatology, Seoul

    Co-chairs the Acne Treatment Session and speaks on the different clinical pattern of acne in dark skin and the different clinical approach it needs.

27. 2013

    Dr Rajendran & Shivakumar Memorial Oration

    Delivered at Cuticon Karnataka, Shivamogga, on Pearls & Gems in Clinical Practice. The CV honours list dates this oration to October 2014.

28. 2015

    Master Dermatologist Award

    Awarded by the IADVL Karnataka State Branch at Mid-Cuticon, Hassan, for the best academic practising dermatologist in Karnataka.

29. 2016

    FRCP, Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow

    Dr Satish is elected a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow, United Kingdom.

30. 2016

    Oration of the Bangalore Dermatological Society

    Delivered in June 2016. In May of the same year he gave the keynote address on Career Opportunities in Dermatology at Decode, the Maharashtra State IADVL Conference.

31. 2017

    Derma-practice Award, South Zone

    IADVL National award for the best practising dermatologist in the South Zone. One later slide dates this award to 2018.

32. 2017

    Vice-President and Local Scientific Committee Chairperson, World Congress of Cosmetic Dermatology

    Helps lead the World Congress of Cosmetic Dermatology held in Bengaluru in May 2017.

33. 2018

    Dr Siddappa Memorial Lifetime Achievement Award

    Awarded by the IADVL Karnataka Branch.

34. 2018

    Aryabhata International Award

    Awarded in Bengaluru for excellence in medical service. The plaque reads 2017; the CV and the tribute video caption read 2018.

35. 2019

    Dr J C Shroff Memorial Award

    An IADVL National award for meritorious contribution to dermatology.

36. 2019

    Vice-Chairman, Dermacon International, Bengaluru

    Helps lead the international edition of IADVL's national conference, held in Bengaluru in January 2019.

    The national lifetime achievement award of the Indian Association of Dermatologists, Venereologists and Leprologists, conferred at Dermacon 2024 in Hyderabad.

    Lifetime Achievement Award, AAD India Conclave

    Presented in August 2024 by the AAD India Conclave, an official licensee of the American Academy of Dermatology, for contribution to the state of dermatology.
