01Everything we treat
33 things,
one flat list.
Conditions, procedures and preventive care are not separated here. A patient with a patch of scaly skin does not know in advance whether the answer is a diagnosis, a laser or a vaccine, and the list should not ask them to guess.
Skin — inflammatory & chronic11
- AcneAn inflammatory skin disease that blocks the oil glands and causes blackheads, whiteheads, pus-filled spots and cysts.
- Acne scars and marksMarks and scars left behind by inflamed acne, from flat surface pigmentation to deeper pitted scarring.
- Hidradenitis suppurativaA long-term, painful condition causing boil-like lumps, pus discharge and scarring in the armpits, groin and under the breasts.
- Keratolysis exfoliativaRecurrent peeling of the skin of the palms, and sometimes the soles, common in children and young adults.
- Lichen planusAn itchy rash of violet or skin-coloured bumps with fine white streaks, which can appear almost anywhere on the body.
- Lichen planus pigmentosusSlate-grey patches of pigmentation, mostly on sun-exposed skin of the face and neck, common in darker skin.
- Pityriasis roseaA harmless rash that starts with one large oval patch, then spreads as smaller pink patches and settles on its own.
- PsoriasisA long-term inflammatory skin disease that produces red, thickened patches covered with silvery-white scales.
- RosaceaA common facial rash of middle age causing lasting redness, visible blood vessels, small red bumps and pustules.
- UrticariaRaised, red, itchy welts that appear suddenly on the skin, lasting either under six weeks or much longer.
- VitiligoA condition in which the cells that make skin pigment stop working, leaving milky-white patches on the skin.
Skin — infections7
- Herpes labialisWater-filled blisters on and around the lips, caused by a common and highly contagious herpes simplex virus.
- Herpes zosterA painful rash of grouped blisters on one side of the body, caused by the chickenpox virus reactivating.
- Molluscum contagiosumA common viral skin infection producing small, firm, dome-shaped bumps, treatable in the clinic with cryotherapy.
- Pityriasis versicolorA yeast infection of oily skin that causes light and dark patches with fine scales, mostly on the chest, neck and back.
- ScabiesAn intensely itchy rash, worst at night, caused by a human mite that burrows into the top layers of the skin.
- Superficial fungal infectionsVery common, very itchy ring-shaped fungal patches, named for wherever on the body they occur.
- WartsSkin growths caused by the human papillomavirus, which look different depending on their type and where they are.
Hair & scalp2
Systemic conditions with skin signs1
Lasers & light-based treatments3
- Intense pulsed lightA light-based treatment named in the rosacea leaflet for reducing visible facial blood vessels.
- Laser hair removalLaser light is absorbed by the pigment in the hair follicle. Most people find that regrowth becomes slower and finer over a course of sittings.
- Q-Switched Nd:YAG laserA laser that targets pigment in the skin, used for freckles, age spots, melasma, pigmentation and tattoo removal.
Phototherapy2
Injectables & regenerative1
Resurfacing & skin rejuvenation3
- Chemical peelingA controlled application of a chemical agent that speeds up exfoliation, so smoother skin regenerates from below.
- MicrodermabrasionA gentle, non-invasive exfoliation using a fine spray of medical-grade crystals to reveal fresher skin beneath.
- Microneedling fractional radiofrequency (MNRF)Superfine microneedles combined with radiofrequency heat to remodel collagen and improve scars and skin texture.
Minor procedures & lesion removal1
Preventive & vaccination2
Nothing matches that.
And in the ENT room
Three service lines, no leaflets yet.
Dr. P. Lakshmi Satish runs the ENT and allergy side of the practice. The clinic has not yet written patient leaflets for these, so they are described in a line each rather than given a page that would only repeat the same sentence.
ENT consultation
Assessment of the ear, nose and throat, including hearing complaints, blocked or running nose, sinus pain, sore throat, voice change and giddiness.
ENT surgery
Micro ear surgery, functional endoscopic sinus surgery and other procedures, with the day-care theatre at the clinic.
Allergy assessment and management
Investigation and long-term management of allergic rhinitis and related allergy, including paediatric cases.
Not sure which of these it is?
That is what the consultation is for. Dr. D. A. Satish sees the skin side and Dr. P. Lakshmi Satish the ENT side; the front desk will point you at the right one.
